PERU RAIL reschedules its route to Machu Picchu

To avoid delays due to weather conditions during rainy season in the Andes, PERU RAIL has made the following changes in the schedules of its trains running between Cusco and Machu Picchu:

VISTADOME / EXPEDITION
Passengers that had either Vistadome or Expedition services between Poroy - Machu Picchu - Poroy (Poroy being the train station located right above the city of Cusco) will now be transfered by bus from the Wanchaq station (downtown Cusco) to the Pachar station (Urubamba Sacred Valley), where they will board the train to Machu Picchu. The return will also be by train until Pachar and from there by bus to downtown Cusco.

HIRAM BINGHAM
Passengers on board the Hiram Bingham (train that also ran between the Poroy and Machu Picchu stations) will be transfered by bus from the Wanchaq station (downtown Cusco) to the Rio Sagrado hotel (Urubamba Sacred Valley). The return will also be by train to the Rio Sagrado hotel and then by bus to downtown Cusco.
