Covid-19 update: Message from our CEO

Dear Clients:

In the exceptional circumstances we are all experiencing, I hope that you and your families are well and enjoying good health. With this message, I want to thank you for your continued trust during this difficult situation, and to keep you informed regardingour actions at COLTUR Peru.

I am proud to be able to confirm that 90% of our travelers have already been able to return home safely, thanks to the work of our dedicated team. We remain committed to assisting those travelers who were unable to leave, and we are doing everything necessary to help them during their stay in Lima.

The drastic decisions made by the Peruvian government in order to contain Covid-19 have been widely praised and they have proved decisive in avoiding an exponential spread of the virus in our country. I am pleased to be able to state that no member of our staff or their immediate families has been infected.

Our president has made the decision to extend the period of mandatory social isolation and border closure until Sunday, April 12th. While our operations remain temporarily suspended, our office staff will continue to assist you as they work from home.

We are developing new experiences and seeking creative ways to continue offering travelers the very best of Peru. When the time is right, we will be ready to welcome them once more and continue sharing with them the magic of our country.

I would like to close with a message of optimism. Tourism in Peru has shown its resilience in other challenging circumstances. We will continue working with the AUTHENTIC DEDICATION that has always characterized us, contributing with you to the development of our country’s travel industry, and to the wider economy.
