I was practically born into the travel industry. I remember the stories my grandfather (founder of Coltur) used to tell when I was a child about the places in the world he visited. I also remember the conversations with my father about Peru as a destination. When I finished high school, I had the chance to travel for a year as a backpacker through Asia and Australia, meeting new people and seeing incredible places. It was this experience which confirmed that travel was my passion.
I've been with Coltur since I was 12, when during the summer I'd do simple office work. Then I worked with documentation, then in operations, then as a tour escort, and then in sales.
What I most enjoy is that we are constantly seeking new destinations within Peru, creating new experiences and seeing how our travelers return to their countries raving about the trip of a lifetime.
I don't think I can choose a favorite destination in Peru... the variety is just too great and deep. We are blessed with our geography, with the Amazon, the Andes, the coastal deserts and the Pacific Ocean. Our people and our living culture preserve our ancestral customs, always greeting visitors with a smile. We also have an exquisite cuisine which is just becoming known to the world. And finally, the historic legacy of our pre-Hispanic cultures (over 5,000 years) and our colonial period.
Without any doubt, what sets us apart is our authentic dedication to exceeding our customers' expectations.
