Important: Rainy season is from November to April, if there is water on the Salt Pans, transportation will not be able to enter. However, we will get as close as possible  and still the view will be beautiful, specially because the Salt Pans becames a gigant mirrow that reflects colors from the sky.

Detailed itinerary:
Day 1: Catamaran Cruise in Lake Titicaca from Puno to La Paz

Early in the morning, we'll pick you up at your hotel in a private vehicle and we'll head to the Sanctuary of Copacabana. Upon arrival, we'll visit the main square and the Cathedral (sanctuary of the Black Virgin of Copacabana), before boarding the catamaran that will take us on a cruise through Lake Titicaca to the Island of the Sun, the cradle of the Inca Empire. We’ll have lunch on ship.

On this legendary island we will visit the Garden, the Steps and the Inca Fountain. Then we'll visit the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, Bolivia's main private tourist attraction, which includes the underground Ekako museum, the traditional medicine centers and the construction of totora reed vessels, the Pachamama terraces of Incan agriculture, a handicraft center, the Intica refuge and the widest variety of Andean camelids located in the Manco Capac lookout point. At this complex we'll also sail on a huge traditional totora reed vessel and we'll enjoy the panoramic view of the Incan Pilkokaina Palace. We'll also have an opportunity to participate in the ancient Kallawaya ceremony as well as the water ceremony.

At the end of this visit we'll board the catamaran again, which will take us to the port of Chua as we enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Upon arrival, a bus will be waiting to take us to La Paz.

Day 2: Tiawanaku - La Paz - Moon Valley

Early in the morning, we'll pick you up from your hotel to visit the archaeological complex of Tiahuanaco, one of the most ancient civilizations of the Americas (approx. 1589 B.C.). During its golden age it served as the main ceremonial center and was also the cradle of Andean culture. We'll visit the Temple of Kalasasaya (Sun), the Gate of the Sun, the Semi-Subterranean Temple (Earth), the Akapana Pyramid and its museum, where you can see an impressive collection of objects and instruments from ancient civilizations. After this visit, we will return to the hotel.

In the afternoon, we'll visit the famous Witches’ Market, the colonial Church of San Francisco and the handicraft shops of Calle Sagarnaga. We’ll continue our tour through the city of La Paz with Plaza Murillo, where the Government Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Parliament are located. We’ll then move on to the well-known Jaen street, where the city's most important museums are located. From here we'll move on to the replica of the Tiahuanaco culture's semi-underground temple. At the end of this visit, we’ll shift gears and go to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and La Florida. Our trip will end with a visit to the spectacular Valley of the Moon, where we'll go on a short walk to visit a pottery workshop and view a demonstration of this art.

Day 3: La Paz - Uyuni - Salt Flat - Colchani

Private transfer to the airport to take the flight to Uyuni.

Pick up from the airport and visit the train cemetery the villages of Alota and Kulpina K, the mining town of San Cristobal and the valley of rocks, famous for its gigantic rock formations. Lunch on route.

Arrival to Ojo de Perdiz, Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Tayka del Desierto.

Day 4: Colchani – Red Lagoon – Green Lagoon – Ojo de Perdiz

Breakfast. Visit the Siloli Desert where it is possible to see an interesting rocky formation known as Stone Tree. In this interesting journey passengers will be able to observe the famous llamas, vicuñas and a particular rodent known as viscacha. Enter to the National Reserve of Andean Fauna Eduardo Avaroa and visit the Red Lagoon that is very impressive for its red color, due to a fine reddish sediment accumulation in the surface, as well as the pigmentation of certain type of seaweed. This lagoon is populated by 3 species of flamencos (among them the famous James). The trip continues towards Sol de Mañana (Morning Sun), this is a place where it is possible to appreciate fumes, geysers and volcanic holes. This landscape remains us the origins of the earth. The final part of the descent leads us to the Green Lagoon, an impressive aquatic mirror that resembles a giant emerald with a particular brightness in the mornings and afternoons; its color is due to the high magnesium content in the water. In the proximities of this lagoon, the Licancahur Volcano is located at (5,868 meters above see level).

Box lunch and return to Ojo de Perdiz.

Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Tayka del Desierto.

Day 5: Ojo de Perdiz – Salt Flat – Colchani

Breakfast.  Depart from Ojo de Perdiz towards Uyuni, on the way visit the Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda, Chiarkhota and Ramaditas lagoons, Ollagüe´s viewpoint, the Galaxy caves (famous for its rock formations) and the Incahuasi Island. It is located in the heart of the salt flat and is the greatest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem.  The island is populated with a cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high (26.25 feet), providing an impressive view.

Lunch and continue to Colchani.

Dinner and overnight stay at salt hotel.

Day 6: Colchani – Uyuni

Transfer to airport without guide.
